The Counseling Program Services Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and program support for the Youth Counseling Programs to further their goals and activities. The Counseling Program Services Coordinator is responsible for receiving referrals for counseling programs, communicating with individuals and professionals who make referrals, attending meetings, assisting with grant reporting, assisting counselors with case management support, managing and co-leading groups for clients and families, and other tasks related to the administrative functioning of the program. The Counseling Program Services Coordinator will also support the Youth Counseling programs in the coordination of equity, diversity, and inclusion work within the programs.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or another related field or equivalent experience
- Ability to work effectively as a team player within agency.
- Willingness to communicate with clients, families, and community partners.
- Familiar with or has training in Trauma-Informed Care or willing to learn about Trauma-Informed Care.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Program Area Knowledge and Abilities
- Keep informed about the agency’s mission and programs as well as individual program policies and procedures.
- Keep informed and up to date about available community resources, specifically for children and families.
- Participate in training about trauma-informed care and provide on-going support for implementation and learning in trauma-informed care.
Program Area Support
- Assist Program Director and Senior team members with projects and administrative tasks as appropriate and assigned.
- Assist Senior team with requests for community collaboration (school projects, trainings, outreach)
- Assist staff with case management support around direct clinical work with children and families, including but not limited to connecting participants with community resources and help coordinate services with families.
- Maintain up-to-date cooperative agreements with partnering agencies
- Help with the marketing, organization, preparation, and leading of clinical groups.
- Oversee the development and operation of complementary healing opportunities for ReadyKids participants.
- Oversee and maintain an online resource and intervention guide.
- Provide additional trauma-informed support in the waiting room as needed.
Referral and Waiting List Services
- Coordinate the referral system for the Inside Out Counseling Program and Teen Counseling Program.
- Communicate with community partners about their services and on-going availability for referrals.
- Meet regularly with the Program Director and appropriate staff on the referral team.
Reporting/Documentation
- Analyze and summarize evaluation data needed for program reports and assist Program Director with completing reports for funders as appropriate and assigned.
- Assist with the data analysis of the program’s Quality Assurance Plan.
- Provide on-going assistance and support with electronic medical records for counselors.
Supervision
- Meet regularly with supervisor as scheduled to most effectively meet program needs and advance service delivery.
- Be prepared for and provide input at team and other agency meetings.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS
- Starting salary: $44,000
