Who can participate in REAL Dads:

What to expect from REAL Dads:

  • At the Regional Jail, a group meets and offers a safe space for open discussion about fatherhood.
  • In the community, fathers receive 1:1 mentoring and support while they discuss fatherhood and set goals.

How to Connect:

  • Fathers currently in the Albemarle/Charlottesville Regional Jail can self-refer to the program. Participation is approved by the Jail Program Director.
  • Fathers living in the community can provide their information via our online referral system (see sidebar) and we will reach out to you!
