ReadyKids Benefits Summary

The ReadyKids Board has worked hard to ensure competitive benefit packages for employees, which include employee health insurance, paid holidays, retirement benefits, supplemental insurance, paid leave, 529 plans, health savings accounts, dental insurance and life insurance.

All Employees:

Paid Holidays

ALL EMPLOYEES ARE PAID FOR 20 APPROVED AGENCY HOLIDAYS PER YEAR – WHICH INCLUDE THE WEEK BETWEEN DECEMBER 24TH AND JANUARY 1ST

Retirement Benefits

    1. NATIONWIDE RETIREMENT PLAN – Employee Contribution/Employer Match
    2. Pre-tax and Roth contributions through payroll deductions
    3. ReadyKids matches employee contributions at 100% per pay period up to $1,000.00 and then 50% per pay period for up to a total of $2,000 per fiscal year
    4. Minimum $200 per year deferral

Supplemental Insurance

    1. AFLAC SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE – Employee Paid
    2.  Payroll deduction option short-term disability, accident, and cancer insurance
    3. Minimum requirement to participate is over 20 hours per week
    4. Premium 100% paid by employee

Employer Sponsored 529 Plan

With the employer sponsored CollegeAmerica 529 plan, there are no trading charges or annual maintenance fees. The employee is responsible for setting up and funding the account.

Paid Leave

Annual Leave

Full-time employees begin accruing leave on their first day of employment at the following rates. Increases in annual leave occur throughout employment based on length of employment and hours per week.

    • 40-Hour/Week employees earn 4 hours of Annual Leave per pay period
    • 36-39-Hour/Week employees earn 3.5 hours of Annual Leave per pay period
    • 30-35-Hour/Week employees earn 3 hours hours of Annual Leave per pay period

Sick Leave

Full time employees accumulate sick leave from the first day of employment.

  • 40-hour/week new employees will start with a sick leave bank of 24 hours and will earn 3 hours per pay period for the first year of employment.
  • 36-39 hour/week new employees will start with a sick leave bank of 24 hours and will earn 2.5 hours per pay period for the first year of employment.
  • 30-35 hour/week new employees will start with a sick leave bank of 24 hours and will earn 2 hours per pay period for the first year of employment.

Sick leave is accrued at the following rates starting in the 2nd year of employment:

  • 4 hours per pay period for 40 hour/week employees.

Sick leave accrual is prorated for full-time but less than 40-hour employees at the following rates starting in the 2nd year of employment:

  • 3.5 hours per pay period for 36-39 hours per week.
  • 3 hours per pay period for 30-35 hours per week.

Option 1.a.  Piedmont Community Health Plan Choice Silver – 3250/20%/6550 w/Health Savings Account
    1. Preventative care covered at 100%
    2. Predictable out-of-pocket costs – co-insurance 20% after deductible
    3. Network of doctors, hospitals and services covered by plan
    4. No referrals required for specialists
Option 1.b. Health Equity Health Savings Account
    1. Employer contribution $175.00/month
    2. Employee ownership of account

 

Option 2.a. Piedmont Community Health Plan Bronze – 5500/20%/7050 w/Health Savings Account
    1. Preventative care covered at 100%
    2. Predictable out-of-pocket costs – co-insurance 20% after deductible
    3. Network of doctors, hospitals and services covered by plan
    4. No referrals required for specialists
Option 2.b.  Health Equity Health Savings Account
    1. Employer Contribution $275.00/month
    2. Employee ownership of account

 

Option 3. Piedmont Community Health Plan Platinum Choice – 0/10/30
    1. Preventative care covered at 100%
    2. Predictable out-of-pocket costs – office visit copay; zero deductible
    3. Network of doctors, hospitals and services covered by plan
    4. No referrals required for specialists

Dental Insurance

Option 1. DELTA DENTAL – Low Plan – (Employer Paid)
    1. Basic Preventive Care
    2. Dental cleaning twice per year
Option 2. DELTA DENTAL – High Plan – (Partial Employee Paid Premium)
    1. Basic Preventive Care
    2. Dental Cleaning twice per year
    3. Limited Orthodontics, Prosthesis, and Restorative Services.

Life Insurance

Unum Life Insurance – $25,000 life insurance policy – (Employer Paid)

Vision Insurance

EyeMed – Optional vision insurance (Employee Paid)
